How did you get into dancing?

I started dancing from a very young age, I grew up in a family environment where everyone liked to dance, so I learned and I always liked to dance.

What projects are you currently working on?

I am currently training dancers in the dance group “phenomenon of semba” , teaching at “Africadance” dance studio and organizing a workshop here in Angola but in the province of Malange.

What’s been the most memorable moment of your journey as a dancer so far?

There were many good moments in my career as a dancer but the most memorable moment was when me and my dance partner Adilson Maiza were awarded with the 3rd place in the national contest of kizomba and Semba Angola 2017.

What advice would you give to up & coming dancers looking at you for inspiration?

I advise the dancers, who have me as an inspiration, to work. Try to dance in the right way, respecting the essence mainly. Take the best from me and dance not forgetting to be humble.

What can we expect from you for the rest of 2019?

2019 has not ended yet, there are still many works of Telma André to Angola and to the world. Projects that aim to expand the Angolan Culture Nationally and internationally.
