How did you get into dancing?

I’d say since I’ve known myself. I still remember my first choreography when I was 5 years old.

What projects are you currently working on?

I manage two dance schools in Portugal with around 1000 students, Muxima Bar which is an Afrolatin club, a world choreographic project called ALC HugDance and also an online video store called dancevs.com. In addition to that, I manage three dance festivals, namely: Ta Fixe Kizomba Festival, DMAES summer Bootcamp and Porto Salsa Mob but my current project is vacation time with my love Ricardo Sousa.

What’s been the most memorable moment of your journey as a dancer so far?

A crazy performance in an abandoned house back in 1998 and a performance integrated in Porto European Culture Capital in 2001 where Ricardo and I had roles as lovers, this was before we started dating .

What advice would you give to up & coming dancers looking at you for inspiration?

Don’t stop learning, practice and love what you do.
